Our First Blog

First of all I think this Blog stuff is a great idea!

This blog, I hope in the future, my family can look back and enjoy our memories as well as letting others enjoy our lives with us. Thank you Shirley and family for yours I love being a part of your lives!

This is a great week to start our blog for this week was a life changing week for our family!

On Wednesday the 8th of April 2009, my girls (Purity and Serenity) and I, headed out of town to Overland Park Kansas. I was taking them to their first Missouri Youth Convention. We were all very excited! When we got there and to our first service the girls were in awh, They could not believe how many people were there. About 2000 teenagers praising the Lord. Wow right? I couldn't help but wonder if mine were to young to pick up on what was going on around them, but the Lord opened their hearts and it wasn't long before they were praising and praying!!! That in itself was such a blessing for me! Below are some pictures of the next three days that we were there and the amazing time we had worshiping the Lord!

Well every thing about the trip was good except I my right hip slipped out the last day from sleeping on those hotel beds. Ouch!!

Then on Sunday (Easter) though in pain we got up and got ready for church!! we went the girls sang a wonderful song with their kids zone group in front of the church. This was a huge step for my oldest Purity she is very shy, but she held the microphone and you could hear her so well.

We had an excellant word from God then delivered to us by our dear Paster Billingsley. After service Purity was Baptised.

After that the kids had to be kids of course and had an easter egg hunt and got their easter baskets. We all went out to eat together. It was a good day.

Well everything went good, but next week when my hip and back feel better I do still want to color eggs with the girls and have a home cooked easter meal. LOL
