Thursday and Friday was just normal days cleaning and spending time with each other. We went to bed early on Friday because we knew that Saturday was going to be a big day and it was. . .
Saturday
Purity and Serenity woke up early 6AM on a SATURDAY!! excited about the day to come and no matter how hard I tried to roll over and get some more rest their happiness prevailed! LOL. Anyway we got up, took bathes, got dressed, ate breakfast and waited for all the other girl scouts in their troop to arrive. You see today is the day that they worked so hard to earn. They sold a lot of cookies and earned a trip to the Zoo and Build-A-Bear! So when everyone arrived we were off and the girls were so happy. It took about 1 hour and 20 min to get their so when we got there they were ready to get out and run, here are a couple of pics of that day at the ZOO

This I had to put in and explain why. As we were walking past this old truck that they use as a refreshment stand sometimes, Purity says, "Hey Momma, Look Did someone wreck their truck there?" She said this as serious as she could and I couldn't help but giggle and I had to take a picture of them beside it. LOL

Sorry these where the best ones I could recover. As I was uploading them to my computer my computer shut down and I lost 90% of my pictures from that day :-( I just about bawled!! but at least I was able to get a few of them, and worst of all it erased them off my camera so I can't even reload them later!! Sometimes I think technology hates me LOL.
Off to Build-A-Bear
Then we loaded in the car and drove the 35 min to Build-A-Bear that turned into the hour to build-a-bear because we hit Kansas City traffic and got stuck in a traffic jam behind a wreck!! but the kids never lost their spunk they were still having a great time!!
Finally Build-A-Bear, when we got there they got to pick their bear, monkey, unicorn, whatever and pick a heart and love on the heart and then put it into it and go have it stuffed and give it a bath and pick out clothes for it and dress it. They loved all of this and I have to admit I thought it was really cute. Purity though bless her little heart knew exactly how much money they had earned and is quick to know that if we go over Mommy would be the one paying the bill so she was very reserved and did not want to get the rainbow bear that she REALLY wanted instead she picked a cheaper one that she still loved, but I wanted her to have the one she wanted! She worked so hard for this. (So here is a little secret to keep between you and me I went behind her back and had them stuff a Rainbow bear and put a Happy Birthday sound box in it and got it a Lou grass skirt and flip flops to dress it in for her birthday!!) she was so busy doing her bear right then that she did not even notice me doing it!! I will be excited when she gets this for her Birthday! Here are some pics that I was able to save from it. . .

Well then we came home and was pretty wore out so we watched a movie and cuddled on the couch with our new build-a-bear friends. and fell asleep.
Sunday
We got up and you see Saturday's is usually the day that we straighten up the house and do laundry so we had to play catch up that day the girls did wonderful and really helped get everything straightened up before church then we went to church and had a good service. after service though while we were out to eat with some church family, I got a text message from my niece Sierra, (My brother Chris's daughter) she said that Brooke her little sister was in the hospital at Children's Mercy in isolation. That she had pneumonia and contracted the H1N1 for all of you that don't know what that is it is the swine flu. You see Brooke has severe heart problems and all of this was putting a lot of pressure on her heart. After I talked to my brother Chris I felt as if a prayer chain was needed immediately!! So I went to our church website and posted it there and to my facebook and posted it there and everyone I talked to for the next two days it was all about Brooke. I know that there was prayers being sent up hundreds of miles from here to the Lord about this blessed little one. The doctors were saying that she was really bad off and did not know if her heart was going to hold out, but only three short days later she was released to go home and was recovering well!! Now isn't our God and Amazing God. He can do all and I just wanted to let the whole world know how much I appreciate every prayer and continued prayer for this little angel, the Lord hears our prayers and answers them!! This is an old picture I have of Brooke and her sister's Sierra and Breanna. Although it is old I love it so much!!

Tuesday Night
I went to women's prayer night at the church and then we had some friends over for supper Eric was so kind and cooked while I went to prayer. Thank you Eric!! When I came home both of my girls were sleeping already. . . . sissy on the chairs waiting for supper. . . and Purity in the box that I bought my lawn mower in. . . .LOL. . . .

Wednesday night we had bible study and then Thursday Purity had I lot of homework to get done so that is pretty much how things went.
Friday
The kids were supposed to have an all day field trip and I was supposed to drive them, it was going to be fun, but unfortunately they got rained out and it was post poned until the next week. so now I hope the girls are not to disappointed I will see when they get home from school, but on the upper hand Purity took her Birthday Party invitations to school today and was real happy to hand them out!!
Thanks for reading and sharing in our life's the good the not so good and the well . . . you know

We LOVED your update... All of the kids were sitting here and I read it to them, and we enjoyed your pictures! I am so SORRY that you lost all of those pics. I WOULD have cried. I am pretty attached to my pictures! ;~)
ReplyDeleteThat is the sweetest thing that you did for your little girl. How proud were you that she was concerned about how much you would have to spend?? What a sweetheart, and I am excited that we will get to see her open her "surprise" bear!
I am so glad that Brooke is doing better. That must have been so scary.. Poor baby!
Enjoyed this very much!!!
Love you all,
Shirley, Haleigh, Emilee, Dawson and Rylie ;~)
