Tears keep flowing. . . .

A lot has happened in our lives around here since the last time I have blogged but I think the biggest thing is that my brother Chris and his fiance' Angel's two year old daughter Brooke passed away from heart complications. My niece was a vibrant little angel that only God could of sent to us. She had so much personality and spunk that she could make anyone around her smile. Her bright blue eyes and long eye lashes could get her anything with just a bat of them. She was one in a million and we will all miss her until we are able to be with her again in heaven. In this tragedy the one peace that I do have is that I know with all my heart that she is with God in heaven. She was so young and innocent that is the only thing my mind can grasp. I just want the Lord to be with all my family through this grieving process and I hope it pulls us all closer together and closer to the Lord.

Brooke was named after my father and she went beyound living up to the name she had personality like his, and knew how to work the crowd. LOL. She has changed this family and I believe that even in her death she has helped this family start healing from old wounds. She has brought us all togther and closer than ever.

Brooke I regret not getting to know you the way a Aunt should. but I still loved you and you will always have a special place in my heart.

Some People wrote poems that we put together onto a dvd with a whole bunch of pictures for the funeral. It turned out so good! (Thank you Dusty for your help with it) I cold not get it to upload onto this but I added some pictures and peoms from it.

Brooke LeAnn Dube-Tovey-Banks

Sweeter than cotton candy, almost 3 years old.
A heart so strong, worth more than gold.
The most beautiful smile, with bright blue eyes.
She's now our angel looking down on us, from heaven in the sky.
With the strength of a lion, and the power of a bear.
She never once gave up trying, for she had no fear.
When she was in the coma, doctors said she couldn't hear.
Mommy disagree's, when SHE spoke, Brooke shed her last tear.
She will always be remembered, for all of the precious things she did.
She was gifted with the name of a HERO, fought everyday she lived.
Confused of what to do, now that we are apart.
The darling memories we have of her, will always warm our hearts.
Brooke loved music and made up her own dance.
Adrian tried to take her spot, She gave him NO chance.
We were there when she needed her little cover.
Now were all here today because we need to hover.

God’s Angel

God gave us his child to share for a little while

She lit up our lives with her smile

She made us laugh and sometimes cry

Her heart was weak , and kept an uneven beat

We prayed to God not to take her at twenty weeks

Our prayers were heard , giving us a couple more years

Then he called her home and we now shed our tears
