Hump Day and I feel in a SLUMP!

Today was a decision making day in my life. I have had it on my heart for a long time to home school my kids. Well and between leaving Sissy there yesterday (which I still do not think is funny at all) and the school calling me today because they lost her and could not find and wanted to know if I was bringing her to school when she had already been there for an HOUR! (they found her she was in a wrong or different class something like that) I think this is all just conformation that what has been laying on my heart is what I need to do.

So I started looking up homeschooling stuff, I had done this several times in the past and had lots of notes on things so I kinda knew what I was leaning toward. Then I spoke to my sister Shirley who home schools her wonderful kiddo's and she gave me some advice on getting started. Thanks Shirley! So away I went again looking up stuff and deciding on an exact curriculum for my girls. . .

Well here is what I decided on. . .

Rod and Staff - Spelling and Penmanship for Purity and just Penmanship for Sissy
Math-U-See - Premier for Sissy and Beta for Purity
Mystery of History - Volume I for both girls
Apologia Science - Botany for both girls
Switched on Schoolhouse - L.A. for Purity
How to Teach your child to Read in 100 easy lessons - for Sissy

Also Shirley said that she had a link to a program that will help me keep track of all of their grades and hours and stuff.

I am excited and scared at the same time, I want my kids to have the best education possible. and by doing this I am not saying that the public school system is bad I am just saying that I believe God wants parents to teach their own and that is the path I have chosen to take.

Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way that he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Also I found a couple of worksheet links and Shirley is going to forward more on to me. . .Thank you so much for helping me with this sis! ( A children's typing one too)

So I think that I am making a great decision "So why am I in a SLUMP?" you ask. . . I am going to need around $500 dollars if I calculated it right to get started. . .to some this may not be a lot but for me it is quite a bit, I am going to just pray and put it in the Lord's hands and have faith that something will come through.. . .I would appreciate any advise or prayers anyone can send thanks!!
